Ultram Use
Ultram is a prescription medication intended for
people who have moderate to moderately severe chronic pain.
How Ultram works
Ultram helps relieve pain in two ways: First Ultram
acts directly on parts of the brain and spinal cord to reduce pain.
Secondly, it reduces the size of pain signals that travel from
one nerve cell to another.
How to take Ultram
Ultram comes in 25 mg and 50 mg tablets. Only
your doctor can determine how much Ultram you should take. DO NOT
take more than 400 mg of Ultram per day. Also, DO NOT take more
than 2 tablets in a 4-hour period. Taking more Ultram than prescribe
can increase your risk of seizure.
Ultram precautions
DO NOT take Ultram with alcohol. Taking Ultram
with alcohol can lead to dangerous breathing and/or liver problems.
Ultram may impair your judgment. Therefore, use caution when driving
or operating heavy machinery. Seizures have been reported in some
patients taking Ultram. The risk of seizures is increased with
doses higher than the recommended range. DO NOT take Ultram if
you:

- Have a history of seizures.
- Have a history of drug or alcohol dependency.
- Are allergic to any medicine containing opioid such as Tylenol
or Codeine.

during pregnancy has not been established. Also, make sure your
